Play Summary
This story is a re-visit to the last “Mushaira” at Laal Quila during Bhadur Shah Zafar time period, portrayed by Tom Alter.
Renowned Urdu poets participated in this ‘Mushaira’, presenting the golden period of Urdu poetry represented by Mirza Ghalib, Zauq, Zafar,Dagh, Sheftah and others.
The aesthetic costumes and typical Urdu poetry gives a unique era based play. The ‘Shayari’ is widely applauded by the audience. Re-creation of mid 1800 beautifully executed by Dr M Sayeed Alam.
