This play revolves around a film-maker who wants to delay the releasing date of his rival’s movie by alleging that the lyrics were originally written by Ghalib.
Anti-National Ghalib is a story of 19 century famous poet who comes out of history into a contemporary time to prove himself right against the
charges of anti-nationalism and national securities. The centre of contention was the famous line of Ghalib “Naa suno gar bura kahe koi/ naa kaho gar bura kahe koi”.
An opponent’s advocate alleges his lyrics hurt the religious sentiments of Christians and compromised with national securities. Ghalib tries to defend himself by alleging that Jagjit Singh and Begum Akhtar earned crores by his lyrics.
